beate fritzchingAbout Bea

Bea originally trained as a Circus performer specialising in trapeze and stilts. She travelled Europe with a horse drawn circus and was a co-director of "The Wrong Size" stilts and aerial productions for 8 years touring nationally and internationally www.wrongsize.co.uk

During this time she used to practise Yoga but only committed to it seriously in the early 90’s when she encountered Ashtanga Yoga at the Brixton Lido. Her initially Ashtanga based Yoga practise started as a student of John Scott, www.stillpointyoga.co.nz. She has been studying with the guru of Ashtanga Yoga, Sri K Patthabi Jois on his many London tours www.ayri.org and, travelling to India, with his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore.

More recently her own practice has been influenced by the delights of Vanda Scaravelli’s Yoga teachings, her teachers being Giovanni Felicioni and John Stirk.

As a teacher Bea trained with Fay Beddowes, British Wheel of Yoga. She holds a BWY Diploma and has been teaching since 2002.
